On the Berg River in Velddrif
Port Owen Marina is located on the banks of the Berg River in Velddrif, 160 km from Cape Town. The area is great for bird watching-you can see flamingos and Egyptian geese. There are nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. The resort does not have 24-hour security; past guests have reported break-ins. CCTV cameras are in common areas and outside, and safety deposit boxes are available, but management acknowledged that anyone can access the property.
